The masks have been taken down
But what hides behind
A face that has seen adventure and romance
Tales of far off countries
Tales of far off people
Compelling stories of splendiferous events
Enough to make you question the life you live
And how it could be so much more
Tales of a childhood love
Tales of springtime flowers and sunsets
The fragrance of a lost love
Her scent still trapped in your mind
Longing to once again see her face
The masquerade is over
The masks have been taken down

Could it be just another mask?
